Over the years I’ve enjoyed many sightings of Snowy Plovers. As odd as it may sound,
I don’t recall ever seeing one on a perch higher than a coconut or sand mound,
not on any branch of a bush or tree.These birds are ground-bound and prefer shore lines
with low growing plants and debris like the many shells here. Even in flight they play it low...
